CMNC Music Library
CMNC has a large and diverse chamber music library curated expressly for use at CMNC workshops. At the workshop, one player from each group will be asked to come to the library to pick up/return their assigned music. All players are invited to sign out music for freelancing. CMNC Librarian Catherine Jennings will be on hand throughout the workshop to answer any questions and help you find music based on a particular genre and instrumentation. See the CMNC Library PDFs for a full listing of music organized by instrumentation and composer.
Freelancing
Workshop participants are encouraged to stay after dinner on Saturday to play music together or freelance. Music can be checked out from the CMNC Library, which offers over 1200 scores/parts for 3 to 16 players. A Freelance Coordinator is available to help interested players form groups. Read more about freelancing in the Workshop FAQ.
Instrument storage
A secure room is provided for instruments during meal periods and the coaches’ concert.
Preparing for a CMNC Workshop
For the best possible experience, we ask every participant to prepare in advance for the workshop. Music assignments are emailed approximately two weeks prior to the workshop. See How to Prepare for more details.
